Keith Lindsey, Ph.D.Treasurer
Dr. Keith E. Lindsey is a native of New York City, NY. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Oakwood University; a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Health Administration from East Tennessee State University; and a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health from Walden University. Dr. Lindsey was with the State of Tennessee in the fields of Communicable and Environmental Disease and Community Development. In his role as a Community Development Coordinator, he served as the Health Access grant coordinator for Northeast Tennessee, and as the community health advisor for four rural counties in Northeast Tennessee. Dr. Lindsey has over 20 years of community experience as a presenter on health, financial, and biological topics. He has over 15 years of collegiate experience as an Adjunct Professor at Knoxville College, and in resident life at East Tennessee State University and Oakwood University. He is also the author of five books on health, self-awareness, and faith. He also hosts a podcast called “Let’s Have A Talk” which discusses relevant community topics and issues. Dr. Lindsey is an Assistant Vice President and Manager at Home Federal Bank of Tennessee, a career that now spans 19 years. From 2017 to 2020, Dr. Lindsey was called to be the Interim President of Knoxville College, where he led the institution in its rebuilding and reorganization that successfully reopened the college in 2018. He also presided over the institution’s first graduation in four years in 2019. Dr. Lindsey is a fervent community supporter and advocate. He is a board member with Emerald Charter Schools, a Fulbright Faculty Liaison, faculty advisor for the Tennessee HBCU Wellness Program, and a mentor with the Tennessee Achieves program. He was appointed to represent his district as a part of the Knox County Charter Review Committee. He has delivered several presentations on the topics of finances, education, health, and personal engagement. He has served as a Lieutenant Governor for the Optimist Club; President of the local National Pan-Hellenic Council, advisory member for the Johnson City Boys Group Home, Stewardship and Finance committee member for the Presbytery of East Tennessee, and Chairman of the Alpha Mu Lambda Foundation. Dr. Lindsey is a member of Lions Club International; Omicron Delta Kappa, National Leadership Honor Society; Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Music Fraternity of America; Epsilon Nu Eta, National Environmental Health Honor Society; Sigma Alpha Pi, National Society of Leadership and Success; and is a Life Member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Dr. Lindsey enjoys spending time with his family, Keith II and his dog, Keli; playing bass guitar, singing, reading, writing, golfing, bike riding, and martial arts. |
