About POPP
This 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization was founded in 2012 by Constance Flemming and Dr. Ebony Bowers, Positive Opportunities for Pageant Preparation (POPP) provides grants for individuals that are low-income and/or minorities of all ages and gender identities, that cannot afford pageant competition necessities.
Eligibility

Competitor must display a desire to compete in pageantry.

Must have a financial need that prevents you or your child from enter a pageant competition of any kind either by documentation of government assistance and or by an extraordinary circumstance that can be documented by a social worker, medical professional, or court documents.

Must complete the POPP Information and the Income Verification forms

Attach one copy of one of the below supporting documentation (for the current competition year) A) Medicaid acceptance letter and/or tax insurance verification of coverage letter, B) WIC Acceptance Letter, C) SNAP/EBT/Food Stamps Acceptance Letter, D) Free/Reduced Lunch Letter (from the school district or from your state Social Services Department) E) Statement on letterhead from a Human Service Professional (social worker, doctor, or lawyer), and F) Court documents that state there is a financial need for financial assistance.
**ALL grant awards will depend on the amount of donations available at the time of request.***

Wardrobe (Pageant Dress/Tuxedo, Opening Number, Interview Suite, Sports Wear, Bathing Suite/Fitness wear, or Costume)

Clothing accessories (earrings, dress shoes, panty hoses, cuff links, cummerbund, ties, etc.)

Pageant Entry Fee (local, state, or national titles can be covered)

Lodging cost during the competition (incidentals such as room service, movies, and any extras cost not included)

Increase Your Consideration:
1)Every complete application will be considered.
2)Please send application at least thirty (30) days before the scheduled competition.
If You Are Awarded the POPP Grant
(Do the following)

To write a handwritten "Thank You" note to the POPP Committee at the address listed below.

To promote POPP whenever and wherever you can. For example if your application has a sponsorship line please add POPP as either your main sponsor or one of your sponsors.

Only apply for funding twice during a competition year, for example August 1st to July 31st.
